Megasize symetrically designed bronze lance with a large tube and a long slender blade with 4 large cutout slots, dating Han period 3.-2. B.C. The full lance meassure an astonishing 450 mm. or 17,51 inches!! Add to this that the blade is c. 80 mm. broad at the base and that the weight is c. 750 grams. A HUGE piece! The lance is a rare type and highly attractive. Could be a good requisite for a  remake of Conan - the babarian!

This would be a fearfull weapon ones mounted to a stick in the late bronzeage. This was too large to throw, so this was a lance for hand to hand combat or processions. One of the largest ancient bronze  lances ever recorded! We have sold only a very few lances at this size, most have been restored - this is  intact and as found!

Condition: EF for type. Exceptional patina and metal, nice dusty green patina with lots of earth. No restoration!

MUSEUM QUALITY ANCIENT CHINESE BATTLEAXE - GENUINE!

A genuine museum quality bronze battleaxe from ancient China. We will date this 2nd. millenium B.C. becouse of the exquisite style of this fantastic axe head. The whole axe is shaped like the head of a rooster. The axe is covered with the finest patina we have seen on an ancient bronze axe ever! The axe is out of a very old danish collection, the custom case was made for it inside China back in the 1930's where this axe was included in the collection.

The case is laquer and wood and is an antique in it self - a wonderful display piece. One of the finest ancient Chinese battleaxes we've ever handled. Authenticity guaranteed for life - as always!

Neolithics

IMPORTANT HUGE DANISH NEOLITHIC DAGGER W. AMBER PATINA!
 
A fantastic dagger, dating to Daggertime, c. 2400-2000 B.C. The dagger measure impressively 215 mm. in length -8,4 inches. Though not the longest we've ever handled, perhaps still one of the largest since it's extremely broad and heavy. Condition: Near mint, amber coloured patina, deriving from the buriel place in a marsch.

LARGE AND ATTRACTIVE DANISH NEOLITHIC THICKBUTTED AXE

One of the best and largest thickbutted single grave flint axes, we have ever handled - a real beauty! The axe measure 24 cm. in length - 9,3 inches and the style is artistic - great symethri and visible seams all over. Nice sharp edge! Incredible marsch patina! Superb Condition - a few very minor dents, but near mint.

RARE & SUPERB DANISH NEOLITHIC OFFER AXE!!
Here's a high quality flint axe! The axe is the polished offeraxe type, dating to c. B.C. 3200-2600. These axes were intended for buriel purpose and are sizeable piece with refined details, extensive polishing and masterful designs. This offeraxe measure impressive 225 mm. The axe is very heavy, of perfect flint and made with an 'eye' for the perfect geometry. A very rare variant with a 'hanging' edge as seen in the pictures. The axe is completely polished on all four sides. The patina is in the colour of greyish marple, very attractive! The surfaces are glasslike and the edge is RAZOR sharp. Condition: Superb - possible as made!

RARE DANISH NEOLITHIC 'TONGED WEDGE' - HUGE GREYSTONE AXE!
A huge and heavy Danish Neolithic Tongued wedge, made of greystone, dating to the Single Grave period, 2800-2400 B.C. 18,5 cm. long and a weight of nearly 2000 grams. A huge piece, polished in the finest Single grave style, where polishing was an art and the axe was god. Beautyful sharp lines everywhere. The tonged wedge is a weapon and tool type only known from the Danish Single Grave period - no other neolithic culture in the world has ever adapted this type. A type that is very rare and scarcely seen on the market. Condition: Near mint, natural irrigularity to the edge, othervise perfect.
Provenance: The Aage Broens collection of Danish neolithics. His son has also expanded the collection, but most items has a very old provenance. This axe was #271 in the collection.

MASSIVE DANISH NEOLITHIC AXE OF THE 'BLANDEBJERG' TYPE!!
A 19 cm. 'Blandebjerg-type' axe. A thinbutted and extremely heavy, massive axe, dating to the early 3rd. mill. B.C.
The axe combines superb knapping details with an outstanding colour. Perhaps the nicest - though not the largest - Blandebjerg axe we have ever sold. Note the extreme thickness of this axe and the very accurate symethric proportions. Perfect edge and neck and visible seams/stiches everywhere. Condition: Mint.

Here's a superb and very rare type of battle axe. The superb qualities of this axe are hard to present on pictures  - unfortunately. The axe has got an interestoing history, since it's an ex Danish National Museum battle axe. Huge for a battle axe, weighing 550-600 grams - 16,5 cm.  - 6,42 inches - long. Note the broad blade and fine lines at the butt. The butt and the middle section of the axe is decorated with very deep vertical lines. The axe was found at Langeland.

Inventory number from the danish national museum - A 4323. Condition: Except for a very minor ding to the edge - as made. Attractive smooth  greystone.

This axe is also from DNM sold from the collection in the 1950ties and also from Langeland. The axe is more common as a type than the others, but very with unusually 'curving' design. Everything sharp and perfect, but very slightly asymethric. Size/Weight: Compact 12,5 cm X 5,5 cm (4,86x2,14 inches.) 400 grams
